Sergio Saravia is the founder and chief executive officer at Remitee, a digital multi-purpose cross-border payment platform. Before founding Remitee, Sergio successfully completed a full-time, year-long program focused on innovation, fintech and entrepreneurship for mid-career professionals at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). He was part of a team working on blockchain technology and assessing the feasibility for central banks to issue digital currencies for the Bank of England. Prior to MIT, Sergio worked at Western Union, where he held different positions with ever-increasing responsibility, his last role being chief financial officer for Americas Central & South. He has extensive experience in the payments industry as well as strong operational and strategic capabilities for delivering innovative solutions in complex markets. Sergio holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Universidad Nacional de La Plata, a M.S. in Finance from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, and a MBA-Sloan Fellows from MIT.
COO, CMO & Country Manager in Chile
Eduardo Hamel is the chief customer officer and chief marketing officer at Remitee. He has 20 years of experience in leadership positions related to business development, marketing direction, customer success, business intelligence and technology development both in startups and large corporations. Prior to joining Remitee, Eduardo held key roles —chief customer officer and chief marketing officer— at Sodimac, where he also led a transformation agenda to make the company customer-centric and data-driven. He formed the team that pioneered the use of artificial intelligence to solve a wide variety of business issues connected with customers, forecast and commercial effectiveness, among others. At Procter & Gamble, he developed several strategies to launch and re-stage products across Latam. At the beginning of his career he was a 2x entrepreneur at tech companies with successful exits. Eduardo holds a B.A. in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad de los Andes in Chile and a Master of Business Administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management. He also pursued a Sustainability Certificate while studying at MIT.
Nicolás Zamudio is the chief financial officer at Remitee. He has extensive financial experience, occupying similar positions for more than 15 years. Before joining Remitee, he was vice president and finance and administration manager at ARSAT (Argentine Satellite Solutions Company), and senior treasury manager at Western Union. He has a B.A. in Business Administration from Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) and a M.A. in Finance from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella University. He also pursued a Comprehensive Digital Business Management (MIND) degree at Universidad de Los Andes in Chile.
Head of Business Development
Maximiliano Dallas has more than 10 years of experience building and developing partnerships and alliances in different industries. He has a strong commercial background with proven high-impact projects created and implemented. Before joining Remitee, he was the head of financial alliances and loyalty at Despegar —the largest online travel agency in LATAM— where he developed commercial strategies to reduce costs and improve revenue. Maximiliano had previously worked at LATAM Airlines leading the financial and commercial alliances for the Frequent Flyer Program. Dallas holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Universidad Argentina de la Empresa.
